Camp Scholarships
2012 Camp Scholarships
The Youth and Family Service Bureau and Social Services Department offers camp scholarships for youth ages 6-12. These are partial scholarships with parent/guardian financial participation required.
Since 1997 we have awarded over $42,000 in scholarships. The source of these funds is from private donations and a grant from the State Department of Education.
Who should apply?
Parents/guardians of Clinton youth ages 6-12 who have financial need.
How do I apply? Call Youth and Family Service Bureau at 860-669-1103 or email us at ysbureau@snet.net to request an application for each child. Be sure you fill in the camp you would like your child to attend and the cost.
What documents will I need to submit along with an application for each child?
Eligibility is based on household income. We use Husky B guideline.
You are required to include with your application.
1. One pay stub
2. Current bank statement
3. Documentation of extraordinary expenses
Once a child has been awarded a scholarship, it is the parent/guardian’s responsibility to register their child with a camp.
